About Us

Bill Coyle’s packaging career started in 1972 with the original Mateer Company, which manufactured auger fillers. Under the guidance of Max Brown (hence the name Maximum Packaging), Bill entered an apprenticeship program in the manufacturing of the equipment. After completion of the program, he spent 3 years as a field service technician, which progressed into management of the parts and service departments. In order to put his hands on experience with the equipment to use, Bill got into sales in 1983, covering the North East corridor of the US as well as National Accounts Manager for Mateer-Burt’s full product line, which included fillers, labelers and case packers.
In 1986, Bill moved on to Adtech, Inc., manufacturers of sterile liquid filling and finishing equipment. As VP of Sales, Bill helped to expand Adtech’s expertise to include fully integrated systems for both sterile and non-sterile filling and finishing equipment. Having purchased and installed a number of Omega unscramblers on Adtech systems, Bill went to work with Omega as a Regional Sales Manager and eventually National Sales Manager. After almost 10 years working with Omega’s established rep group selling their unscramblers and shrink bundlers, Bill went to Integrated Puck Systems (IPS) as Director of Sales. During the two years of setting up a similar rep network that sold IPS’s puck machinery and pucks, Bill decided to start his own rep business in the summer of 2001. On September 10th, 2001, Bill came to an agreement to represent Posimat in the North East US and officially started Maximum Packaging on September 11th. Since that time he has grown his line card to include very reliable, well respected manufacturers of packaging machinery.
